Pepcid AC Original Strength Tablets – Neighbours Drug
Pepcid AC Original Strength Tablets, 60 Count, work to prevent or relieve heartburn and acid indigestion. Containing the acid-reducer ingredient famotidine, these tablets control the production of excess stomach acid, preventing or relieving heartburn, acid indigestion, and upset or sour stomach brought on by eating or drinking certain food and beverages. You can take Pepcid AC to control stomach acid for up to 12 hours. Take Pepcid AC in as little as ten minutes before your first bite to prevent heartburn before it starts*. Pepcid AC Tablets are easy to swallow and come in 30-count and 60-count packages.
*Prevents heartburn if taken 10 to 15 minutes before a meal.

Directions: Read package insert before using this product. Adults and children 12 years of age or older. For prevention of acid-related symptoms brought on by consuming food and/or beverage, take one tablet 10 to 15 minutes before eating. For fast and effective relief of symptoms, take one tablet. If symptoms return, you may take another tablet. Do not take more than two tablets during a 24-hour period. If symptoms persist for more than two consecutive weeks, talk to a doctor.
Medicinal Ingredient: Famotidine 10 mg.
Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, red ferric oxide, starch, talc, titanium dioxide.
Caution: This medicine may not be suitable for some people. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using if you:
Are allergic to any component of this product or have had an allergic reaction to another product that contains an acid reducer.
Are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Have difficulty swallowing, or persistent abdominal discomfort (stomach pains).
Have severe kidney disease or any other severe illnesses.
Are over 40 and you are experiencing new or recently changed symptoms of acid indigestion or heartburn.
Are taking any prescription or over-the-counter medications, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs [NSAIDs] (because these medicines may be causing your symptoms).
Have a previous history of ulcer disease complications.
Are experiencing unintended weight loss in association with your symptoms of acid indigestion or heartburn.
You are taking a proton pump inhibitor.
Your heartburn is frequent (more than three times per week) and or severe.
